This continuing education course has been developed to meet the mandatory PDH compliance. This Course fulfills the required 1 Hour per the State of North Carolina – standards of practice or care, laws and regulations applicable to the practice of engineering in North Carolina, or Professional Engineering Ethics requirement applicable to the Practice of Professional Engineering in the State of North Carolina.
Emphasis will be placed on the significance, importance, and overview of The State of North Carolina = Rules and Laws, governing The Practice of Engineering and Professional Engineering, including Case Study Disciplinary Actions, while integrating the Universal Professional Code of Ethics, Engineers Creed, Preamble and Pledge to the respected Fundamental Cannons governing the requirements which apply to Professional Engineers Licensure.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES/GOAL:
This course learning objective/goal is to educate the Professional Engineer regarding and address the applicable adopted, amended, and/or repealed The State of North Carolina – Rules and Laws governing The Practice of Engineering and Professional Engineering.
The course will address the responsibilities of The North Carolina Board for Professional Engineers, The Standards of Practice, description and identification of the board including Disciplinary Action Case Examples w/applicable Law References, and provide a review the Universal Professional Code of Ethics, Engineers Creed, Preamble and Pledge to the respected Fundamental Cannons governing the requirements which apply to Professional Engineers Licensure.
Upon completion of the Interactive Continuing Education Course “North Carolina PE - “LAWS, RULES, & PROFESSIONAL ETHICS”, the Professional Engineer WILL have obtained enhanced knowledge and achieved a heightened awareness on the following:
§ an enhanced familiarity and understanding of the North Carolina – Rules and Laws including changes/modifications,
§ an appreciation for the codes of professional conduct,
§ an opportunity to explore one's own values& responsibilities as a Professional Engineer,
