Course Description: |

Outdoor air that flows through a building, either unintentionally as infiltration or intentionally as ventilation, is important for two reasons:
Buildings use this air movement in three different modes for air exchange:
These modes affect air quality, energy, and thermal comfort very differently. They also have different capabilities in maintaining a desired air exchange rate. All three modes should be included in the air exchange rate in a building at any given time. In this course we will discuss these various issues. |
