According to NAFE, the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, forensic engineering is defined as the “application of the art and science of engineering in matters which are in, or may possibly relate to, the jurisprudence system, inclusive of alternative dispute resolution”. In other words, when a structure (whether it’s a building, bridge, automobile, machinery, ect.) fails, forensic engineers are called to the crime scene to examine and investigate the material, products, structures or components that failed or did not operate as intended, causing personal injury or damaged property.
This on demand webcast will address Forensic Engineering as the investigation of materials, products, and structures of components that fail causing personal injury or damage to property. We will address retracing designs, processes and procedures leading to accidents in operation of vehicles or equipment.
