COURSE INTRODUCTION & OUTLINE:
This Webinar session will provide an overview of the mitigation function, including the general types of and approaches to disaster mitigation, the politics involved in mitigation, and specific applications dealing with disaster types, and an introduction to land-use planning which is a principal means of reducing risk from hazards.
