Construction Site Storm Water Runoff Control

Course Description:

Land disturbance associated with construction activities can leave the ground susceptible to storm water erosion. This course covers methods to control surface runoff, sedimentation and soil erosion both during and after construction.

Although the focus is on storm water runoff control during construction, the lessons learned from this course can be applied to any project. For each storm water control measure, the course discusses the applicability of the measure, sitting and design considerations, limitations, effectiveness, cost considerations and maintenance considerations.
